Ranch Conversion
The owners of this traditional brick ranch needed more room for their family and a main floor that actually worked. A two-story addition doubled the square footage.
Location
Buckhead
Scope
Second-story addition and whole-home renovation
Duration
9 months
The project
Rather than simply opening up what was already there, the existing main level came down to the studs and was rebuilt from scratch, with ceilings raised from eight feet to ten feet in the process. The result is an open kitchen, dining, and living space that feels like it was always meant to be there.
Upstairs, the addition carries a completely renovated primary suite, two new children’s bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, and a dedicated guest suite. A new side entrance adds the mudroom and walk-in pantry that every busy family wishes their house had been built with.
